Arena Americas has partnered with the Metropolitan Museum of Art since 2011 to construct one of the most coveted events in the fashion industry – the lavish Met Gala event. The tents and red carpet that grace the Met steps every Spring have become an iconic symbol of this prestigious soirée attended by the most influential faces of fashion, art, film, and music.
Every year, we design and custom build interconnected, open air structures staged over 6 days while the museum remains open. In order to set the main structure that ascends the steps of the museum, a crane is utilized. The entire structure spans nearly 2 blocks to accommodate all the media, talent, security and hospitality required for the 3 hour event that draws 650 guests.
